In the world of knives, the Higonokami is a living fossil.This small Japanese folding knive is one of the oldest knife trademark still in production, it's almost kept the original form since its creation from the first piece ever made. This original knife had a misconception at the start, as it didn't feature any device to lock the blade. The story says that its maker named Murakami first added a lever to it, others say that a second blacksmith ,Shigeji Nagao, has been influential to the present form as we know it now and for many centuries.. The beautiful hancrafted multi layered steel blade comes in many variation , but i have the most original that reflects the craftmanship of the old famous Japanese blacksmiths who were also responsable for the swords of the Samurai. http://japaneseknifedirect.com/
